Whitnash Town Junior Football Club formed in 1994 and is a
subsection of Whitnash Sports and Social Club and presently
has 129 junior members.     The 2010 / 2011
season has seen the welcome introduction of girls' football
to Whitnash for the first time. The age range within the junior football section are as follows: U8s / U9s / U10s / U11s / U12s / U13s / U16s and our youth squad, who play at U18s. Our gender break down is 117 male members and 12 female members. Starting with two teams in 1994, the junior football club have won League Titles at: U8s League winners 2002 / 2003 U9s League & League Cup winners 2004/ 2005 U10s League Winners 2002 / 2003 U11s League Runners Up 2005 /2006 U12s League Runners up and Supplementary Cup Winners 2004 / 2005 U13s League Cup winners 2003/ 2004 U15s League and League Cup winners 2003 / 2004: 2004 / 2005: 2005 / 2006 League Cup Winners / Supplementary Cup Winners in consecutive seasons The above is testament to the hard work of coaches and managers who give up their time voluntarily to deliver grass roots football to the young people of the Whitnash Community. Whitnash Town Juniors are now one of the biggest junior football clubs in the Mid-Warwickshire Junior Football League, and is built on strong community values.     We aspire to continue to deliver grass roots football to the young people of our Whitnash Community in a safe and structured environment.     The junior football section has been built on family values and is open to all members of the community, promoting cohesion, playing a central role in providing services that are fair and promoting equality and positive relationships.     They are also taking an increasingly important and central role as community leaders and in 'place shaping'.     Place shaping involves defining the positive aspects of a locality and promoting local pride and belonging.     Other aspirations are to build closer links with our French Twinned Town of Villebon-sur-Yvette.     We have already visited our French Neighbours and a return to Whitnash took place in April 2010 |
