The Line Dancing Club has been running for over 10 years.
Line Dancing is one of the regular social events which take place at the Club, with sessions every other Tuesday throughout the year. There is no formal teaching and experienced dancers mix with beginners, who help those who are keen to learn. We have a fun time in a party atmosphere, whilst getting lots of exercise but there is no compulsion to take part and sitting watching can be fun too. With a varied age range from 40 to 75, the section comprises 53 regular members (46 females and 7 men).
The Section holds regular themed nights, such as Pancake Night, Bonfire Night, American and Christmas parties where members dress up according to the theme, and occasionally invite guest Country & Western artists to perform. We have recently had Paul Bailey, Tim McKay and Bobby D Sawyer.
The main aim of the Line Dancing Section is to maintain and increase its membership in order to continue to provide this enjoyable and social activity to current and future members of the Club.
